Biomass Contract Issued for Poland's Jaworzno III Power Plant
GALWAY, IRELAND--March 9, 2010--Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland)--Poland's second-largest power group, Tauron Polska Energia SA (Katowice, Poland), has issued a contract for the construction of a 50-megawatt (MW) biomass circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler for the Jaworzno III coal-fired power plant. Industrial Info can confirm that bids for the design, supply, installation and commissioning for the new boiler are being accepted and that the project, which is worth more than 5.15 million euros ($7 million), will be awarded in the coming months.
