Netherlands' Imtech Wins 31 Million Euro Supply Contract for RWE's 1,600-Megawatt Eemshaven Plant
GALWAY, IRELAND--February 8, 2010--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Technical services provider Imtech NV (AMS:IM) (Gouda, Netherlands) has won a contract to supply technology for a new power plant to be built at Eemshaven in the Netherlands by RWE Power AG (Essen, Germany), a division of RWE AG (ETR:RWEOY) (Essen, Germany). Under the terms of the contract, which is worth an estimated 31 million euros ($42.3 million), Imtech will be responsible for all technological solutions, including plant concept, management of the project and total planning, including heating and cooling, and a mechanical smoke-extraction system.
