REpower Secures 295-Megawatt Wind Turbine Contract at Nordsee Ost

GALWAY, IRELAND--February 3, 2010--Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland)--German turbine manufacturer REpower Systems AG (ETR:RPW) has announced that it will be providing wind turbines with a combined capacity of 295 megawatts (MW) to the Nordsee Ost offshore windfarm off the coast the island of Heligoland in Germany. The company will deliver 48 of its 5-MW and newer 6.15-MW turbines to the site. Construction is scheduled to begin next year, and operations are scheduled to start by mid-2012.
